Körmend, where we are located, is a typical rural village immersed in the countryside of this wonderful part of Hungary, just a few miles from the Austrian border. Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest are just a two-hour drive away. It lies on the shores of the Raba river in the heart of Örség National Park. It has quaint low-roofed houses and a large square and offers a variety of hints for discovering its history and people. 

The historic Castle, dating from the 15th century, nestled in the greenery of its gardens, deserves a visit to hear, told inside its halls, all the history that has passed through it. The Saint Martin pilgrimage route also passes through here, connecting Italy, Slovenia and, of course, Hungary.

This is the capital of the province of Vas, less than 30 kilometers from Körmend. This beautiful city is held to be the oldest in Hungary (43 AD): its impressive Cathedral and majestic and wide central square, in Baroque style, are just a few of its points of interest. A wealth of cultural activities, exhibitions and concerts offer entertainment for everyone. Shopping lovers will also find what they are searching for here. Plus its many cafes and clubs invite you to enjoy its city life.

This town is in Austria, just a few kilometers from Mjus World. It is worth a visit both for its lovely position in the Burgenland countryside and also because it is considered to be a model zero-emission city. A visit to its castle, the oldest in the Region dating from 1157, is also a must.

Crossed by the romantic Danube, surrounded on one side by the hills of Buda and on the other by the start of the great plains, Budapest is considered the most beautiful city in Mitteleuropa. It is also called the “Paris of the East” thanks to its intense and travailed history, its incredible architecture and its rich cultural heritage. The capital of Hungary has a unique charm. It is a perfect mix between occidental luxury and the simplicity of traditions.
The city rises on a slight bend in the Danube and features wide avenues, lush green parks and its famous spas. It often exudes a fin de siècle atmosphere due to the fact that most of its historic buildings were built during the industrial boom, the period of greatest splendor of the city. Budapest is only a two-hour drive from Körmend and less than three hours by train.

The grandeur of Vienna once reflected the supremacy of the Hapsburg Empire. The city center, with its quaint boulevards, shows one monumental building after another while prestigious museums guard art treasures and celebrated orchestras and youth choirs perform in lavish concert halls. Her famous Sacher Cake is a must to sample as well as a ride on the Giant Ferris wheel, the symbol of Vienna. The city is just a two-hour drive from Mjus World and is easy to get to. 

The small capital of Slovakia welcomes you with its cobblestone streets and gracious town center. This city, with its small dimensions, reveals an old-world charm just 170 kilometers from Körmend. It is an ideal alternative to the great capitals of Budapest or Vienna.
